BACKGROUND
AND PROFILE:
Mr. Muehlhauser
received his B.A. from the University of Michigan, in 1952, and his J.D.
from The Ohio State University in 1955.
Mr. Muehlhauser
was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1955. He is a member of the following
bar associations: Erie County and Ohio State.
Mr. Muehlhauser
was a member of the Board of Trustees of Sandusky Memorial Hospital from
1962 through 1985 and Chairman of the Board of Trustees from 1970 through
1974.
Mr. Muehlhauser
participated in the 1985 consolidation of Good Samaritan Hospital and
Sandusky Memorial Hospital, resulting in the establishment of Firelands
Community Hospital, now Firelands Regional Medical Center. He has been
a member of the Board of Directors since 1985 and served as Chairman
of the Board of Directors from 1988-1989 and from 1992-1993.
Mr. Muehlhauser
participated in the establishment of The Sandusky/Erie County Community
Foundation in 1995 and has been a member of the Board of Directors from
1995-present.
Mr. Muehlhauser
is a life-long resident of Erie County and has lived in Huron, Ohio,
since 1936. He is a 1948 graduate of Huron High School. He and his wife,
Connie (deceased), have three children, Kathy Muehlhauser-Moore, Kurt
(deceased), and Eric, an attorney with Flynn, Py, & Kruse. Mr. Muehlhauser
enjoys acting and is a member of Harlequins, Inc., a local community
theatre, and he has been a member of the Bowling Green State University,
Huron Playhouse, since 1996.
