and Family Law.
BACKGROUND AND PROFILE:
Mr. Hart received his B.A. from Ohio Wesleyan University
in 1981, his M.A. from the University of Cincinnati in 1975 and his J.D.
from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 1980. His academic honors
include Law Journal membership, Phi Delta Phi membership and he received
the American Jurisprudence Award.
Mr. Hart was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1980, the
Ohio Bar in 1981, the bar for the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in 1981,
the bar for the United States District Court for the Northern District
of Ohio in 1982, the bar for the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in 1985,
and the bar for the United States Supreme Court in 1992. He is a member
of the following bar associations: Erie County and Ohio State. He is
also a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Ohio Association
of Civil Trial Attorneys and the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense
Attorneys.
Mr. Hart is a former sixteen year member of the Sandusky
City Schools Board of Education and served three years as president of
that board. He is a past member of the Grace Church Vestry, having served
as Senior Warden, and is a past board member of Campfire, Inc. of Erie
County.
Mr. Hart resides in Sandusky. He and his wife, Mary
Ellen, have three children. He enjoys water skiing, snow skiing, golf,
fishing, tennis, reading and travel.
