CHRISTOPHER M. MARINKO

BACKGROUND AND PROFILE:

Mr. Marinko received his B.A., summa cum laude, from The Ohio State University in 1985, and his J.D. from The Ohio State University College of Law in 1988. His academic honors include Phi Kappa Phi, Pi Sigma Alpha, and Ohio State University Name and Seal Scholar.

Mr. Marinko was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1988, the bar for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio in 1989, and the bar for the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in 1996. He is a member of the following bar associations: Cleveland, Erie County, Ohio State (Litigation and Labor and Employment Sections) and American (Litigation Section). He is also a member of the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys and the Defense Research Institute.

Mr. Marinko was a Law Clerk to former Ohio Attorney General Anthony J. Celebreeze and served as a legislative aide in the Ohio House of Representatives.

Mr. Marinko is chairman of the Erie County Board of Elections (appointed by the Secretary of State in 1998 and reappointed in 2002 and 2006), trustee for Bayshore Counseling Center, and County Republican Executive Committeeman for Vermilion Township. He served as Chairman of the Erie County Republican Party from 1996 through 2002, as a trustee of the Erie Ohio State University Alumni Association, as a trustee and Vice Chairman of Sandusky Bay Area Goodwill Industries, Inc. from 1989 through 1998, as trustee for Kinship, Inc., and has chaired numerous political and judicial campaigns.

Mr. Marinko is a member of the Ohio Association of Election Officials, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, the Erie County Ohio State Alumni Association, Plum Brook Country Club and the Republican National Committee. He is an instrument-rated private pilot (PP-ASEL) and operates weather station CW1111 for the National Weather Service, (MESONET).
