Background and Profile:

Ms. Hykes was born and raised in the Vermilion, Ohio, area and attended Firelands High School. Upon graduation, she attended Ohio Wesleyan University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism. After a career in publishing and editing, Ms. Hykes was motivated to enter a new field in which she could help more people. She returned to school and graduated with her Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law in 2025.

Ms. Hykes previously served on the Perkins Local School District Board of Education. She is a member of 100+ Women Who Care in Erie County, Ohio.

Ms. Hykes resides in Perkins Township with her husband, two children, and dogs. She enjoys cooking, reading, and traveling.
